Essential oils and herbs are part of our medical preparedness

I have been studying and using (intermittently) essential oils for over a decade.  My problem was that I never found a brand/line that performed perfectly and consistently or that could answer all of my questions satisfactorily. Essential oils are not intended to be a “cure all” but I firmly believe that the body itself is a cure all if given the proper tools. And my ten+ years of study shows that essential oils SHOULD be the proper tool, but I kept getting met with disappointment. Why? Well, in part because the governmental initials have once again done for us what was in the best interest of Big Business, not our bodies. They permit any essential oil that comes from U.S. companies to be labeled as “pure” if there is only 2% content of pure essential oils –and by the way, that’s ANY essential oil inside the U.S.  That can even be a perfume!.  What you may not know is that there are some “essential oils” that are downright toxic to our bodies and should NEVER be combined with other oils that are intended for any health benefits. If the essential oil comes from Australia, then it only has to have 10% of “pure essential oils” content.  The biggest problem with this is that this leaves the door wide open for the manufacturers to dilute the essential oils with any ingredients they see fit and/or to substitute synthetic concoctions to make up the volume. But that’s a big problem though folks, because our bodies are not meant to process synthetics.

Even worse, if you introduce a synthetic into the body WITH a pure essential oil, then you’ve just made the essential oil the Benedict Arnold of body invaders, as the essential oil acts as a Trojan Horse, escorting the synthetics and other poisons throughout the body unabated. Sure, some companies brag about the gas-chromatographs which show what’s in any given essential oil. But what they don’t tell us lay people is what to look for in the gas-chromatograph exactly, nor do they mention that the GCGs do NOT differentiate between synthetics and natural constituents.  How convenient.  Yes most essential oil customers would never know that they should be asking for two additional testing results–results which are rarely performed on essential oils for retail sale throughout the world due to cost and frankly, due to the fact that most persons don’t even know how to read them. And even if these additional, more revealing tests are performed, there’s always the question, was the test done before the oils were fully harvested and processed and is the manufacturer actually getting the exact same oil that they had tested initially?

GSG machine used to determine the chemical make up of essential oils

There’s tons of gobblety gook that I’ve encountered rampant throughout the essential oil industry, so imagine my absolute joy in finding a somewhat small company  in Utah that has a true expert of essential oils at the helm coupled with a total commitment for absolute pure and potent products. I only found this company about 7 months ago, and not wanting to commercialize Preparedness Pro I’ve kept it mostly to myself except when folks e-mail me directly.  But the fact is,  they are my very best kept secret. They are the reason why I’ve been able to overcome a great deal of my physical challenges as well as those of over a hundred other people that I’ve personally helped with them in the last several months. And they meet every single scientific criteria I’ve accumulated over the last decade.  So, if you’re serious about Medical Independence… take a look.

These are the ONLY oils that I have found that meet all of my pure and premium criteria for essential oils. Unlike other essential oils on the market, these are packed with the highest percentage of naturally occurring beneficial constituents, more than any other oils I’ve tried to use. They are the ONLY oils that I have ever found that are not just pure, but POTENT too because they have not been adulterated in any way and only those plants which have the highest medically beneficial constituents are ever harvested.  So not only are they amazing in working with your body, but they also have an infinite shelf-life! (which ALL essential oils should have!)  More importantly, I have used them time and time again on countless clients and I have NEVER been disappointed in the impact that they have.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much relief that gives me in knowing that there is finally an essential oil line out there that does exactly what it should do.

As I’ve watched these oils react to a body struggling with diabetes, whopping cough, tuberculosis, cancer, autism, migraines, and fibromyalgia I have been absolutely AMAZED with the visible effect. I’m not saying they are a cure all. That’s for the experts and the people dealing with their  health issues to determine. But for the first time in my life I feel like I have a real hope, a real solution for Medical Independence!

I’m sorry to say, yes, I have spent thousands of dollars on the big names and the little known names. Fortunately even a small amount of essential oil can help the body. But the bad part is the fact that when synthetics are introduced into the body via even the smallest portion of pure essential oil, the oils act as a Trojan Horse for the synthetics in getting into parts of the body that simply cannot handle it, causing permanent organ damage. So please stop using those Trojan Horse essential oils that are permitted to label themselves as “pure” just because they have met the FDA criteria of “containing 2% pure essential oil.”  Please take this opportunity to put my recommendation to the test and try out something that actually benefits your body now and years from now.  I realize that I’m putting my reputation on the line as the Preparedness Pro in sharing this particular line with you.  And I have to tell you that without even the slightest bit of concern or doubt I am recommending this particular line to you.  It has NEVER let me down. For those of you who would accuse me of “shilling” all I can say (after I shoot a emphatic, sloppy “raspberry” in your direction) is “Tell me how in the world you feel like it’s “shilling” when there is absolutely NO cost for enrollment–thus nothing for me to pocket. For those of you who feel like you’re my own, self-appointed Jiminy Cricket Committee, even if I did have the temerity to make a profit on this promotion, tell me what part of a profit you really have a problem with?

Younifi Wellness has made it super easy by giving everyone a complimentary enrollment fee. In other words, it’s costing you nothing to sign up—no auto-ship requirements, no sponsoring requirements, nothing. Just sign up, get your ID number and you can then go on the site, use your ID number, and order whatever you’d like. However, if you don’t care to enroll, no problem.

Just a little additional information, I’ve used these oils successfully on folks with undeniable impacts on all kinds of scenarios. But the most comment consults I do are for chronic pain, depression and anxiety, flu/colds, cancer recovery, hip pain, restless leg syndrome, as well as matters of autism, ADD, ADHD, for younger kids. I’ve also got clients who have successfully managed Crohn’s Disease, carpal tunnel syndrome,  stop-smoking, acid reflux, candida elimination, liver cleanse, kidney infection, obesity, diabetes, hypothyroid,  urinary tract infections, chronic pain, migraines, Swine flu, Winter coughs and colds, swollen glands, cystic fibrosis, neuropathy, nausea brought on by chemo therapy, wart removal, tension release, hormonal balance, frigidity, apathy, violent mood swings, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, Leukemia, fibromyalgia, surgical recovery, tumor elimination, and SO much more!!!

They are highly potent and in the most pure form anywhere in the world as they are the only brand in N. America that adheres to the standards set by the medical industry in France. (The EOBBD standard), and are wild-crafted free from any pesticides, herbicides, synthetics, inferior oil agents, heat and pressure (which both diminish the effectiveness of an essential oil).

When you get them, start using them right away! And if you don’t know what to get, then message me and I’ll have my awesome schedule coordinator contact you and we’ll set up a conference call. OK?

You’ll be amazed at what your body can do when given the right tools. While I don’t believe that essential oils are a “cure all” I certainly have every reason to believe that they are a “help all”. Let me know if you have any specific questions about what you want to accomplish today. I’ll be watching my e-mail to assist anyone I need to. That’s one way that I can help you quickly if you’re wondering what you  might need to try and aid your body in healing from a particular challenge.

The first two links to byeo gives me an error 404 message, and the “sharing partner” link opens but the enrollment link doesn’t work……would like to try them at that price, but doesn’t look it is going to happen….;-(

Kellene,

Do you have any book recommendations for using oils?

    Kellene · November 29, 2010 at 10:46 pm

Actually, yes I do. I reference solely the one that’s written by Dr Dana Young. It’s only sold through the Be Young Website though. I think the wholesale price on it is $55, but if you order it today, you can get another 20% off of that. I have used that thing so much I’m afraid it will fall apart. 🙂

Julie · November 29, 2010 at 11:40 pm

Why do they need the Social Security number for registration?

    Kellene · November 29, 2010 at 11:42 pm

They don’t need it if you’re just going to order retail. You can just call in and do that if you’d like and still get the 20% off of retail. But if you’re ordering it wholesale it’s with the presumption (on the part of our lovely government) that it’s for a business. As such, they require a SSN or a sales tax ID number in order to place the order for wholesale.

Sarah · November 30, 2010 at 12:10 am

well, I signed up under you. Looking forward to trying these oils (I think this will be the 5th brand for me!) And when we have some more money, I know my husband will be excited to try that Hairline one! You mention in the article all the things you’ve “treated” with essential oils. Did you use the book you mentioned as a reference?

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 1:24 am

Yes I use the book, but keep in mind that I’ve been studying the application of essential oils on our everyday health, as well as more severe pandemic scenarios for just over 10 years now. Not everything is in the book, but there sure is a whole lot! 🙂 And don’t worry. You’ll LOVE these oils, or I’m not the Preparedness Pro. 🙂

Peggy · November 30, 2010 at 1:03 am

What are the top 5 or top 10 oils you’d recommend to have? I just got the notification on the blog post and am on CA time, so hope I made the 5pm mountain time deadline

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 1:45 am

Peggy, there’s no way I could limit it down to just 5…and I’m hard-pressed to limit it down to 10.
Hmmm…frankincense, helichrysum, myrrh, cypress, ravensara, birch, lemon, peppermint, black cumin oil, and eucalyptus is definitely up there, but I feel like I’m “cheating” on my other favorite oils. 🙂 There are a lot of blends that I love, love, love as well. And when you use a blend by someone who knows that there is actually a correct order to put them in as well as the synergistic constituents that are possible, then you’ll understand why I love them so much.

Paul · November 30, 2010 at 1:26 am

The essential oils look like something I definitely want to try as I am in my 70’s but I made it a generl rule not to give out my SSN, so I will have to pass this offer up. Also I cannot understand why it is required.

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 1:37 am

It’s not required unless you want to purchase the items wholesale, and even then you can use a sales tax ID number instead (my personal preference because it also limits a company from being able to charge me sales tax, and I too do not care to have my social security number out there–but that’s a whole ‘nother story.) If you had wanted to purchase them retail you can do so through the company’s regular order line. A social security number is certainly not necessary to buy products on a retail basis.

Jo · November 30, 2010 at 1:40 am

As one just beginning the venture into essential oils, I am very overwhelmed as to where to start. What would you suggest for some basic beginning oils?

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 2:15 am

I would start with what your body needs most, first and foremost. Everyone I know needs a liver cleanse to get rid of Candida, fatigue, and so much else (it’s an article in and of itself.) So I would recommend using a drop of lemon oil and a drop of peppermint oil in one tablespoon of FRESH squeezed lemon once a day. Just chug it back. (It’s a great “pick me up” actually). Then be sure to apply eucalyptus oil every day as it will keep the toxins that you’re washing out at bay and it actually cleans the brain reactors nicely. The right oils are just as important as which oils. So I recommend being be very, very prudent in your selection.

Rani · November 30, 2010 at 2:06 am

Great deal, wish the post had arrived earlier in the day.

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 2:16 am

Yeah, you and me both–but I wont’ go there cause I’m likely to bust a gasket. Suffice it to say I didn’t have a lot of cooperation today from others, including technology. grrr…. 🙂

Sue · November 30, 2010 at 2:18 am

Dear Kellene, I just want you to know how much your information is appreciated. Letting folks know where to get and how to use specific products is very important to me. If someone else does not appreciate your pearls of wisdom, just ignore them; the rest of us do appreciate it. Don’t stop. I have ordered many things you have recommended, like the reusable canning lids and tonight, the essential oils. I had no idea that “pure” didn’t mean pure at all or that mixing pure with synthetic actually created a hazardous substance (I wonder how a person would know if the foundation oil was synthetic). Anyway, although I missed the deadline of 5:00 tonight, I still placed an order anyway, just to get a reputable supplier. Thanks again and don’t stop sharing. Some of us appreciate you!!

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 2:25 am

Thanks so much for your comment, Sue!

Priyanka · November 30, 2010 at 3:27 am

Is there an oil that you can recommend for shrinking or removing uterine fibroids? ALso regarding the eucalyptus oil you mentioned above to help with toxins… is that to be taken internally or applied on certain areas of the body? Could you please be more specific on that. Thank you so much for this information.

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 6:41 am

Yes, actually there is a regimen for uterine fibroids, however, it’s not just one essential oil; it’s several combined and it is applied vaginally where it will do the most good, actually. There are other methods you can use but it depends on the condition of your uterus at present.

As for the eucalyptus, that can simply be applied directly to the area of a sinus infection, right on top of the liver, right over the lungs, or anywhere that it’s needed. For those who are trying to quit smoking, right under the tongue–although I do NOT recommend oral use unless you are 100% sure about the purity of the eucalyptus oil.

For example, when I get sinus pain in my face, I simply pull out the eucalyptus and rub a single drop across the bridge of my nose and the pain goes away immediately for me! One of our readers here on the blog has used it for her allergies/sinus irritations as well as keeping her son out of the emergency room with “seal barking” attacks. (It’s also a great aid for asthma attacks) I’ve also helped someone quit smoking using it and Copiaba. All I did was have him use the two oils daily at certain intervals AND put a drop of the eucalyptus under his tongue twice a day too. Eucalyptus also helps to rebuild/reinforce the lung tissues. If you’d like more specifics, just e-mail me directly.

      Priyanka · November 30, 2010 at 11:05 am

Hi Kellene, thank you for responding to my email. How do I email you directly. I would like more info on shrinking uterine fibroids with the oils.

Randy · November 30, 2010 at 3:36 am

Kellene,
I just bought a lot of bottles of essential oils through Five Star Preparedness from a company called Butterfly Express. They say that they contain “only the most potent and pure essential oils and exclusively EOBBD certified.” I spent quite a bit of money on them. Can you tell me if this is a reputable company which sells only pure essential oils like the Be Young Essential oils you have recommended? Thanks Kellene for all you do and don’t worry about the naysayers. We support you 100%.
Randy

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 6:34 am

Randy, I just checked the Five Star site. They only have one set of oils that has the third party certification (EOBBD) and they are not the Butterfly Express oils–they are actually the Be Young oils that Five Star offers. Having said that though, if I had to use a secondary brand of oils, I would choose Butterfly over all of the other brands out there including what’s at the health food stores. For a secondary line they are reputable and they work well with their customers/vendors to keep them happy. However, they do not offer any gas chromatographs to their customers nor do they contain as high of a percentage of beneficial constituents as I like to see. What this means is that you will need to use more of their oils in order to give your body an appropriate response. In other words, they are using “pure lavender oil” they just are probably not using wild-crafted or plants that are grown indigenous to their own area. That makes a HUGE difference in providing the body with the appropriate tools. So, start with them and then go from there and work on familiarizing yourself with which does what. At the prices that they offer, I certainly wouldn’t consider it wasted money at all. They are significantly less expensive than more potent essential oils.

David Lichliter · November 30, 2010 at 5:13 am

Kellene, what essential oils do you recommend for fibromyalgia? How have you seen them help sufferers?

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 6:21 am

David, I have definitely seen an effective regimen that’s helped sufferers of fibromyalgia, in fact that and any other auto-immune disease as well as ADD/ADHD and related illnesses are what I deal with the most. However, the suggested regimen is quite extensive, so feel free to e-mail me directly.

razr · November 30, 2010 at 9:27 am

Well, on your recommendation I signed into the site…..however I do not want to have an auto buy……If I were buying freezedried food.would not pay for things I do not eat…as for oils….I love them…BUT….I want to study (which I have a little) and pick my own oils….I know that I am not computer savy….but could not get a product guide….only the auto buy at a $100 bucks…..whats up with that?….As far as the fda….no you do not want to,or could you print my knickname for them……but look what they have done with vitamins…..That is shameful…..now they are going after our gardens…..I would urge all to find out about “the food modification act” before it’s to late…..the only one to benefit there is Monsanto! I know that I have never been politcal before….but this is important!….please excuse any mispells ( all the letters are worn off my keyboard)

    Kellene · November 30, 2010 at 9:55 am

Uh, Razr, you do not need to “auto-buy” I’ve been ordering from them for months and have never had to do that. I’m a girl, after all, I change my mind far too many times to put myself in that kind of a situation. 🙂
Medical Preparedness is definitely a higher priority than Food Preparedness, so keep that in mind. Study and then act upon what you learn. Take care!

razr · November 30, 2010 at 12:09 pm

hmmmmmm Think that is what makes you soo good….Off to town to buy m and m’s then…chocolate to cook with……….actrually sending someone….but they know what i WANT……made a deal with the one and only candy store here…..most candy stores will be happy to sell you good chocolate plus 10% of their cost…….that is a great deal. making truffles or choclates is not difficult…..try it……..I give my truffles as Christmas presents…..if I buy for ppl……..they ask about my choclates duh……..going to stay there

Hi Kellene,

My daughter is trying very hard to quit smoking. she lives in the Boca Raton, and works in W. palm beach FL. is there someone in this area you can recommend she work with to use essential oils or is this something she can do with a little info from the book you recommended?

    Karen,
I could easily help her via telephone and e-mail. That’s how I’ve done 3 out of the 5 lately.

Have you studied and compared Be Young to doTerra? Sounds like similar claims and business set-up … what are you thoughts there?

    Kellene · December 5, 2010 at 5:10 am

Actually the criteria that I’ve laid out in this article is the result of comparisons. Neither of them meet all of the criteria. (of course I had to discover this AFTER I spent beaucoux bucks on both of them. But that’s ok. Lessons learned and I can still use their oils for household stuff.

pattie · December 8, 2010 at 8:46 pm

another missed opportunity!!! I can see vacations with no internet…which is rather a relaxing thing to do….may have to be re-thought!! At least I have the name of a reputable company!!! Thanks Kellene!

Glenda · December 10, 2010 at 3:48 am

Sorry I missed most of this but I’m interested in any reference books you might recommend.

Thank you.

Chris · December 10, 2010 at 10:34 pm

Wow, your claims sound pretty encouraging. I’m totally open to trying this so I signed up. But I have to say I’m a bit stunned at how cost prohibitive these are. Like many others in the country, times are pretty hard for us right now. So when we’re not seeing a doctor because it’s too expensive, it’s hard to justify spending $90 for a little vial of oil.

    Kellene · December 10, 2010 at 11:35 pm

Well I look at that several different ways applying logic reasoning:

    1) $90 is on the high end of the costs that I’ve seen there. I’m able to get a great deal of them for less than $20.

    2) Considering that I see immediate results when I do or do not use them, that’s a far cry from the $225 that my doctor charges for an office visit and a blood test. I spend the money–so what does my body care that I spend money on an “expert?” Not one thing. So if paying for Myrrh, for example, keeps me OUT of the doctors office because I don’t have any complications with my hypothyroid.

    3) I don’t know about everybody else’s constitution, but I need to stay away from chemicals and synthetics as much as possible.

    4) It costs me $90 for my chemical prescription which only causes more side effects, whereas I can pay $10-$100 for an alternative care, stay out of the doctors AND have it get to the CORE of what’s going on with my body instead of just masking symptoms. One 10 ml. bottle is 400 drops/doses. Whereas that prescription medicine that I’m taking is a monthly expense, sometimes even more. I’ll take the health-inducing, good for me, same priced stuff that provides oxygen to every single cell in my body any day.

Lastly, we’ll be discussing this every other week next year for the Self-Reliance Revolution. Hope you’ll join us.

      Chris · December 12, 2010 at 5:32 pm

Good points, but it’s still a lot of money, especially if you are buying multiple oils for multiple people/conditions. One thing that may help is I have a health savings account with some money in it. I don’t know if I could find a doctor who would prescribe these, but have you or anyone you know had success getting health savings accounts to pay for these?

        Kellene · January 31, 2011 at 5:23 am

HSA expenses do not need to be prescribed. You can even buy aspirin or bandaids from that account. However, I just recently discovered that essential oils have been determined as an unacceptable HSA purchase. Geesh! Can these people be any more obvious in their design?

Linda Austin Hart · January 31, 2011 at 5:15 am

I have extensively studied the medicinal uses of herbs, but the benefit of replacing many of the tinctures, poutices and teas with concentrated oils is tantamount.
From this post and your above comment regarding doTerra for household use only I conclude that you recommend to *not* use doTerra oils topically or internally? Would this be for *all* of their “CPTG” oils, or only some of them. Great…just great(not really): I have spent over $2000 on doTerra oils this past 16 months. I finally have all of them and have found them immensely helpful in many areas. Likewise I have in the past believed a few of the Young Living and Nature’s Sunshine oils to be of benefit. I “get it” that you are comfortable recommending *only* Be Young oils, and I am so impressed with everything I’ve read on this blog, that I’m willing to accept your advice regarding what I should do with the “CPTG” oils. Please tell me if I correctly understand your position regading the quality of these brands.

    Kellene · January 31, 2011 at 5:22 am

Ok. So how about if I come at it from this approach? I would suggest that you not use ANY of DoTerra’s blends topically or internally. Also, I would definitely not use their birch or wintergreen oils topically or internally. A small amount of essential oil can still do some wonderful things for our bodies. But with the strength of the constituents is the biggest dividing factor between one or the other brands. You may simply need to use more of the DoTerra brand to get the impact that you are looking for. Also, blending is a significant science and if done incorrectly can cause more harm than good. On the Young Living oils, I wouldn’t suggest using any of theirs on the body.
    Good luck!!!

      Jayne · May 30, 2012 at 8:17 pm

I just came across this blog post more than a year later… still accepting comments? I am stunned to read your opinion of doTerra’s essential oils. I have been using doTerra oils for more than three years with great success. It has been the only brand of oils I would recommend, for the very same reasons you only recommend Be Young oils. If you have truly studied the quality of these companies’ oils as you claim, your findings would be that doTerra does in fact run both tests, independently from any doTerra sponsorship, and sources their oils from all over the world to find those indigenous plants you mentioned. They also have many experts that know just when and how to harvest to get the premium amounts of just the right constituents, as you also mentioned. How could you have missed this pertinent information if you really investigated doTerra as you claim?

        Preparedness Pro · May 31, 2012 at 3:38 am

        You’re assuming an awful lot

You’re assuming an awful lot here, worst of all you’re assuming that everything that’s written in this article is all encompassing of the 10 years of research. That’s your first mistake.

The second was to question my conclusions when you have no idea to what extent the studies I conducted entailed.

The third is not to see the problems I point out in their relation to one another.

You threw in a couple of DoTerra rah-rah statements, but you didn’t address ALL of the issues that I bring up in the article.

For starters, I didn’t say there were “two” tests. In fact, I said there’s the GCG AND two others. These need to be done in tandem with each other. How can anyone who’s truly knowledgeable about essential oils miss the fact that GCG tests can be manipulated to put out anything that they want?

How about the fact that a prominent medical doctor has an effective treatment against MS and needed lemon essential oil in order to get his solution past the blood brain barrier/blood brain filter; but after using several other brands of lemon essential oil, he failed to do so UNTIL he used the Be Young lemon essential oil which worked for him sufficiently because of the concentration of needed constituents?

Do you know anything about the use of ANY amount of pressure in the distillation process? Even “the smallest amount of pressure” that’s used by DoTerra (and is admitted by them in many of their written materials) compromises the integrity of the constituents.

How about the fact that I consistently give Doterra folks an opportunity to explore several “like” essential oils (lemon, geranium, peppermint, “breathe” and birch) blindly and the participants select the Be Young Essential Oils every time?

How about the fact that truly pure essential oils should last FOREVER, whereas DoTerra’s citrus are only good for 1 year shelf-life.

How about the fact that DoTerra’s “Deep Blue” is liable to cause liver damage as a result of the combination of the white camphor and the wintergreen? They are making the same mistake with this product that Young Living made and was sued for.  (Not to mention the fact that they are being sued by Young Living for violating trade secrets, trademarked names, etc.)  I wouldn’t want to be around on their 5 year anniversary when the lawsuits start coming.

How about the fact that DoTerra charges for a person to enroll to purchase their products? Be Young Essential Oils believes that you can’t cure anything with an administration fee–not even greed.

I’ve been very kind to DoTerra over the years. I don’t believe they are intentionally misguiding folks, but I do believe they are stubborn in embracing the science and research that is available that would redirect them–kind of like yourself. I believe they have an unconscious imcompetence–meaning that they don’t even know what they don’t know and that only leads to a poor product even IF they were to never add or use any synthetics or chemicals.  I mean really. Why spend all of the money on marketing and not provide the same quality that any person could get if they were truly committed to get the best?

We all drink the kool-aid at some point or another in our life. That’s not the problem. The problem is doing so without questioning it with sound research and science before declaring an undying allegiance to it.

Linda Austin Hart · January 31, 2011 at 5:20 am

p.s. I have signed up as a sharing partner. I am excited to see that they have oils with which I am unfamiliar and I will likely be placing an order soon. Thanks

    Sharon, there are essential

Sharon, there are essential oils, tinctures, teas, etc. that can address that STAT. However, you might notice that in disaster recovery scenarios elsewhere in the world, the good old standby of aspirin, ibuprofen, etc. is frequently used. Birch, helichrysum, marjoram, do help to alleviate very real pain as do several herbal options. Keep in mind that all synthetics are recreations of what is natural. That’s how the pharmaceutical co’s get patents…they can’t patent mother nature, so they recreate it synthetically.

How do you know deep blue is
How do you know deep blue is causing liver damage? Can you provide a source of that info?

    White camphor, when used long

White camphor, when used long-term causes liver damage. There are at least three synthetics that are found in most wintergreen “essential oil”–which isn’t really an essential oil–which only compounds the potential for liver damage that much more. To have them both in an EO that’s commonly used directly on the lower back (as that’s the 2nd most common “chronic pain” complaint) will produce liver damage equal to long term use of heavy pain medications.  I believe it’s Dr. Schnaubelt’s book “Advanced Aromatherapy” discusses this.

I choose to believe that the other companies who are making such errors with their product do so out of ignorance, not malintent or maliciously. They simply are not experts in all that needs to go into providing effective essential oil products.
